On 30th December 2025, the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, conducted an extensive operational boundary patrol along the FCT – Nasarawa – Kogi borders as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security across boundary and adjoining communities. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Josephine Adeh, anipr, mipra, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, Abuja.
The statement reads: “During the patrol, the Commissioner of Police paid a brief courtesy visit to the palace of the Ona of Abaji, His Royal Majesty (Dr.) Adamu Baba Yunusa, CON, where he reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustained collaboration with traditional institutions in support of community based security initiatives.
“The operational tour also took the Commissioner to Narati Tsofo, Narati Sabo, Chijisabo, Chiji, Abate and Achido community in Nasarawa state alongside other adjoining locations that have experienced security concerns in the recent past. While on the ground, he assessed the existing security deployments provided on the spot operational orders and reinforced police presence in the affected areas.
“This patrol forms part of the Commissioner’s operational strategy to personally assess deployments and ongoing security operations across the FCT, with particular focus on boundary and flashpoint areas vulnerable to criminal activity.
“While commending officers deployed in these locations for their dedication, resilience, and successes recorded against criminal elements, the Commissioner of Police urged residents of the communities to remain vigilant and to promptly report suspicious persons or activities to the Command through its emergency lines: 08032003913, 07057337653, ” it also added.
