The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command wishes to inform applicants and members of the general public that the physical and credential screening exercise for the recruitment of General Duty and Specialist Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force will commence from 9th March to 18th April, 2026 at the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki II, FCT. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, Abuja.

The statement reads: “The exercise follows the deployment of officers by the Inspector General of Police to conduct the screening process across all states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory.

“Applicants who successfully applied for the recruitment are required to appear for the screening on the dates scheduled for their respective states and are advised to come along with the following documents:

1. Evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government recognized medical hospital
2. ⁠Originals and duplicates of Certificate of Origin duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary
3. ⁠Originals and duplicates of National Identity Card or NIN slip.
4. ⁠Originals and duplicates of O’Level results.
5. ⁠Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
6. ⁠Printout of application form.
7. ⁠Duly completed Guarantor’s Form.
8. ⁠ The invitation slip.

“The Command emphasizes that the screening exercise will be conducted strictly on merit and in line with the highest standards of professionalism and transparency. Applicants are advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines provided and ensure that all required documents are presented during the screening exercise.

“The FCT Police Command urges members of the public to note that the recruitment process is free of charge and to report any individual or group demanding gratification in connection with the exercise,” it also added.
