The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, on Monday, 16th March 2026, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Mr. Godwin Chiya, elder brother to the outgoing Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Hon. Danladi Chiya at his residence in Kwali. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, Abuja.
During the visit, the Commissioner of Police expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family, describing the loss as a painful one and praying that God grants the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
CP Dantawaye also joined the family in prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed soul and offered words of comfort, encouraging the family to remain united and steadfast during this difficult period.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the solidarity of the FCT Police Command with the family and all loved ones of the deceased while praying that they find solace and comfort in the memories shared with the late Mr Godwin Chiya.
