The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Mr. Michael Achimugu has been honoured with the Vanguard of Good Leadership and Epitome of Hope award by the Council of Northern Youth Advocates of Nigeria.
The award, presented in Abuja, recognised Achimugu’s contributions to national unity, youth development, and leadership.
Presenting the honour, the group’s president, Mohammed Abdulrazaq, described the NCAA director as a role model for young Nigerians and a strong advocate for a united country.
The group commended his efforts in promoting leadership values and fostering youth engagement across the country.
In his response, Achimugu expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing the achievement to the support of his team and the leadership of the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, as well as the Director-General of Civil Aviation, Chris Najomo.
He reaffirmed his commitment to service delivery and pledged continued collaboration with stakeholders to promote a safe, secure, and passenger-friendly aviation sector.
The event was attended by senior officials of the Authority, including Senior Special Assistant to the DGCA and Head of Flight Operations and Adjudication, AbdulMalik Ifueko, and Head of Public Relations, Michael Otunumeruke, alongside other staff members who described the award as well deserved.
