The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar has extended warm Eid-il-Kabir greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria, calling on citizens to embrace compassion, sacrifice, and support for vulnerable members of society during the festive season.
In her Eid message, the NEMA boss said the essence of Eid-il-Kabir reflects the agency’s humanitarian mandate of saving lives, reducing suffering, and supporting communities in times of distress.
According to her, the festival serves as a reminder of the values of selflessness, compassion, and collective responsibility towards one another.
“As we celebrate, let’s carry this spirit forward by looking out for the vulnerable and strengthening one another,” she stated.
Mrs. Umar prayed for Allah to accept the sacrifices of the faithful and continue to bless Nigeria with peace, safety, and prosperity.
