The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed relief materials to victims of wind and rainstorm disasters in the Minjibir/Ngogo Federal Constituency of Kano State as part of ongoing efforts to support disaster-affected communities.
The distribution exercise, carried out by NEMA’s Kano Operations Office on June 17, 2026, was conducted in the presence of the member representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sani Adamu Wakili.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Wakili commended the Federal Government and NEMA for their commitment to assisting vulnerable communities and improving the welfare of affected residents.
He expressed appreciation for the intervention and urged beneficiaries to make effective use of the relief materials to enhance their living conditions. The lawmaker also reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure that assistance reaches those most in need.
The exercise was supervised by officials of NEMA, the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and representatives of the constituency to ensure a transparent and orderly distribution process.
Beneficiaries thanked the Federal Government, NEMA, and their representative for the timely intervention, describing the support as a welcome relief following the devastating impact of the disaster.
The intervention underscores NEMA’s continued commitment to providing humanitarian assistance and supporting vulnerable populations affected by disasters across the country.
