The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama psc mnips today Wednesday, 12th August 2026, host security stakeholders from Anambra South Senatorial District at a strategic security stakeholders’ interactive meeting in Nnewi. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Ikenga Tochukwu, Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command, Awka.
The engagement, scheduled to hold at Anaedo Hall, Nnewi, by 12:00 noon, is part of the Command’s renewed strategy of deepening community-based and intelligence-led policing through sustained collaboration with traditional rulers, political leaders, community leaders, youth groups, religious bodies, business communities, sister security agencies and other critical stakeholders.
As part of the activities, the Commissioner of Police will also pay a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Igwe Orizu III of Nnewi, and engage other key stakeholders in the Senatorial District.
The meeting provided a platform for stakeholders to identify emerging security challenges, share actionable intelligence, strengthen inter-agency and community collaboration, and develop practical strategies for enhancing public safety across Anambra South.
CP Nnanna Oji Ama reiterates that effective policing requires the collective support and partnership of the people, assuring residents that the Command remains committed to protecting lives and property, preventing crime, and maintaining peace and public order throughout the State.
The Commissioner notes that this security stakeholders meeting in the senatorial district is continuous and encourages residents to actively participate in the engagement and contribute meaningfully towards building a safer and more secure Anambra State.
In attendance were all the stakeholders from the seven local government areas in Anambra South Senatorial District, Aguata, Ekwusigo, Ihiala, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Orumba North, and Orumba South.
