1st Ever Nigeria International Air Show-FG Holds Interactive Session With International Airline Operators

In a historic move to foster collaboration and stimulate growth within the Nigerian aviation sector, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, mni has convened an interactive session, bringing together International Airline Operators and key private sector stakeholders to rob minds on the forthcoming Nigeria International Air show slated for December, 2025. This was contained in a statement signed by Odutayo Oluseyi, Head, Press and Public Relations.

The Permanent Secretary emphasized that engagement is pivotal to unveiling opportunities in the industry and reinforcing public-private partnerships that are crucial to sustainable growth.

“The aviation industry is a critical driver of economic development,” he noted. “We are optimistic that the Air show will not only open up new avenues for investors but also deepen existing collaboration.”

Kana said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led government is committed to developing the aviation sector , thereby embracing the idea by the private sector to hold the first air show.
He stated that the Nigeria International Air show will go a long way at boosting the economy and restoring the desired confidence that Nigeria is set to do business with the world. He urged the airline operators to key into the noble idea, take responsibility for the process, and ensure its success.

While delivering her presentation at the meeting, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria International Air show, Bria Williams, thanked the Permanent Secretary for providing a befitting secretariat for the Air show. She said the initiative aims to boost the Nigerian aviation industry, strengthen the national economy, encourage and attract more private partners to work with Nigeria in advancing the sector, by showcase Nigeria’s vast potential within the global aviation landscape.

Bria stated further that the Air show will also bridge the connectivity gap across the region, foster intra-Africa trade, tourism and investment, expand aviation infrastructure, and increase the synergy between financial institutions and the aviation industry.

International airline operators and private investors in attendance were: -Value Jet Airline, Air France, Badr Airlines, Air Morocco, and Turkish Airline who pledged their commitment to the shared vision for Nigeria’s Air show.
