The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has dismissed a media report suggesting that it has suspended action on the proposed delineation of Wards in Warri North, Warri South, and Warri South West Federal Constituency, Delta State, as directed by the Supreme Court.

In a statement issued on Monday, 29th September 2025, the National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee (IVEC), Sam Olumekun, mni, explained that the said publication misquoted an official of the Commission.

According to him, while no final decision has yet been taken on the matter, the proposed delineation has not been suspended by the Commission. He further confirmed that the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise is being conducted in all the local government areas within the constituency.

INEC appealed to all parties concerned to remain calm and maintain peace in the area as the process continues.
