Season’s Greetings,
The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA), has heartily felicitated with ndi Anambra at home and in the diaspora on the joyous occasion of Christmas, the season that embodies love, sacrifice, peace and renewed hope for humanity. This was contained in a joint statement jointly signed by Ikenna Okonkwo, Interim President and Princess- Ekwi Ajide, Interim Secretary of LAJA, respectively.
The statement reads: “As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, LAJA urges ndi Anambra to reflect deeply on the enduring values of unity, compassion, tolerance, and selfless service to one another.
“These values have remained the strength of our people over the years and continue to define the resilient and progressive Anambra spirit wherever we find ourselves.
“This season also presents an opportunity to appreciate the resilience of our people in the face of economic and social challenges.
“We commend the industrious nature of ndi Anambra, whose enterprise, innovation, and commitment to excellence continue to contribute meaningfully to the development of our state and the nation at large.
“As journalists of Anambra extraction based in Abuja, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to responsible, ethical, and development-oriented journalism.
“We will continue to use our platforms to promote truth, peace, accountability, and positive narratives that advance the collective interest of Anambra State and Nigeria.
“We also call on our people to celebrate responsibly, extend a helping hand to the less privileged, and continue to pray for peace, security, and prosperity in Anambra State and across the country.
“May this Christmas bring renewed hope to every home, strengthen our bonds as a people, and usher us into a New Year filled with greater opportunities, unity, and progress.
“Once again, Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to ndi Anambra,” it also added.
