CP Orutugu, Governor Soludo Marks 2026 Armed Forces Day Celebration With a Special Church Service

As part of activities marking the 2026 Armed Forces Day celebration, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc minps Phd today 11th January 2026 joined His Excellency, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, alongside other security service commanders and top government functionaries at a special church service held at St Patrick Catholic Cathedral Awka, Anambra State. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Ikenga Tochukwu, Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command.

The church service, a key component of the Armed Forces Day commemoration, was organised to honour the sacrifices, patriotism, and gallantry of officers and men of the Nigerian Armed Forces who have paid the ultimate price in defence of the nation’s unity and security.

The CP noted the importance of inter-agency cooperation and community support in sustaining security operations in the state.
