In continuation of the distribution of relief materials to flood victims in Niger Delta region, the Ministry of Regional Development, on Saturday, extended the gesture to Bayelsa State.

The report has it that on Friday, the Ministry distributed relief materials to the people of Rivers State following the devastating floods that ravaged some communities in the state.

The exercise, which is being anchored by the Presidential Palliatives, led by Dr. Shuab Belgore, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, is part of its yearly intervention programmes.

Some of the materials distributed to the people of Bayelsa State were food items and empowerment tools such as bags of rice, bags of beans, cartons of tomatoes, motorcycles, mosquito nets, sewing machines, and so many other items.

Present at the occasion were Bayelsa state government officials, the team from the Ministry of Regional Development, and stakeholders.
