The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) is nearing the completion of its planned showroom designed to display the agency’s homegrown technologies, products, and solutions to the public.
Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, disclosed that the initiative is part of the agency’s broader effort to reposition NASENI from a research-focused institution to a product-driven innovation platform.
According to Halilu, the showroom will allow Nigerians to directly see and experience technologies developed by the agency.
“When I said NASENI must move from research to products, it also meant Nigerians should be able to see and experience the technologies we build,” he said.
He explained that the establishment of the showroom was one of the commitments made to ensure that the agency’s innovations become more visible and accessible to the public.
“The goal is simple; open NASENI to the public and bring Nigerian innovation closer to the people,” Halilu stated.
He emphasized that innovation should not remain confined within laboratories but must be accessible and practical for everyday use.
“Because innovation must not only be developed. It must be seen, experienced, and used,” he added.
