Regional Development Ministry Pays Tributes to Late Former President Muhammadu Buhari

Management and staff of the Federal Ministry of Regional Development led by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mary Ada Ogbe joined the Hon. Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, and the Hon. Minister of State, Uba Ahmadu Maigari, in paying glowing tributes to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday, July 13th, 2025. This was contained in a statement signed by Lawan Ahmed Danbazau, mnipr, Head, Press and Public Relations.

In compliance with the Presidential directive to all MDAs, the Regional Development Ministry opened the condolence register for its staffers to register tributes and condolences on the late former President’ s demise.

The Permanent Secretary, Management staff of the Ministry, led by the Hon. Ministers trooped out to sign the condolence register. A good number of the staff signed the register while the seven days mourning period lasted.

In his tribute, the Hon. Minter, Regional Development, Engineer Abubakar Momoh wrote
“Magaskiya is gone. Though painful, Allah knows best. He came and did his best in his earthly sojourn.

We pray Almighty Allah to repose his soul in Aljannaatul Fidaus and make paradise his final abode.

The Ministér further said, “My condolences is to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR,
who is the chief mourner and the family of the late president. May almighty Allah comfort us all. Amen. ”
Earlier, the Hon. Minister of State, Regional Development, Uba Maigari Ahmadu, had signed the condolence register on the 10th floor of the Federal Secretariat Secretariat Phase 1 saying, “We lost a disciple and dedicated patriot who led with a clear vision and mission. Nigeria remains grateful for years of service. May Allah (SWT) avail you Al Jannah Fidaus.Amin.”

Generally speaking, kind sentiments were expressed on the person of late Muhammadu Buhari by the Ministers and the staff of the Ministry who signed the condolence register, attesting to his uprightness, integrity and honesty, while also praying for the repose of his gentle soul.

The Ministry had observed the seven days mourning period with the national flags lowered at half mast.
