2026 National Police Day Celebration: FCT Police Issues Schedule of Activities

The FCT Police Command has issued a schedule of activities for the forthcoming 2026 National Police Day Celebration.

This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, Abuja. The statement reads: “The FCT Police Command wishes to inform the general public that, in commemoration of the 2026 National Police Day themed “Community Partnership: Building Trust,” the Command has outlined a schedule of activities for the celebration.

“On Monday, 30th March 2026, the Command will embark on an environmental sanitation exercise across communities within the Federal Capital Territory. On the same day, the FCT Police Command Medical Team will conduct a free medical outreach targeted at vulnerable groups. The outreach will take place at Jabi Motor Park, Utako, and behind Area 1 Shopping Complex, Garki.

“Other activities lined up for the commemoration include a walkathon by personnel of the Command on Tuesday, 31st March 2026, as well as a public sensitization campaign on electoral offences and safe driving practices across the FCT on Wednesday, 1st April 2026.

“On Thursday, 2nd April 2026, the Commissioner of Police will present welfare cheques to families of deceased police personnel, in honour of officers who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and service to the nation.

“The celebration will culminate in a grand finale featuring a ceremonial parade at Eagle Square, Abuja, on Tuesday, 7th April 2026.

“The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammad Sanusi, PhD, fcai, calls on members of the public to join the Police in the celebration and take advantage of the free medical services and other scheduled activities. He emphasized that the theme, “Community Partnership: Building Trust,” underscores the importance of collective efforts and active public participation in effective policing, ” it also added.
