The five-day 45th Annual National Council of Civil Service Commissions of the Federation has commenced with the arrival of the advance party of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) at the headquarters of the Delta State Civil Service Commission, Asaba. This was contained in a statement signed by Ibraheem Zakariyya, Head, Press, and Public Relations For the Commission.

The team was warmly received by the Permanent Secretary of the Delta State Civil Service Commission, Mr. Fredrick Yoro, who, on behalf of the host Commission, welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for their safe arrival.

In his welcome remarks, Mr. Yoro conveyed the goodwill of the host Commission and extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation. He particularly expressed his delight at their safe arrival, noting the importance of communication and coordination among participants to facilitate smooth logistical arrangements and ensure a successful conference.

He also formally presented copies of the conference programme and information manuals to members of the advance party.

The arrival of the advance party marks an important preparatory milestone towards the successful hosting of the annual gathering, which provides a strategic platform for the Federal and State Civil Service Commissions to interact, exchange institutional experiences and deliberate on issues affecting public service administration, personnel management and the continuous strengthening of civil service institutions across the Federation.

The Federal Civil Service Commission reaffirms its commitment to promoting professionalism, institutional collaboration, merit-based recruitment and an efficient, responsive and accountable public service.

The 45th Annual National Council is expected to further strengthen inter-Commission cooperation and provide an avenue for advancing shared priorities towards building a more effective and result-oriented Nigerian Civil Service.
