Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NIDCOM), has commended Adaora Akojume of Beta Agric Ventures as she emerged the No 1 Pitcher, netting a N250million Naira investment offer, at the just concluded 8th Nigerià Diaspora Investment Summit organized by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) in collaboration with the Nigeria Diaspora Summit Initiative (NDSI), held on 11th to 13th November, 2025 at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja. This was contained in a statement signed by Gabriel Odu, Media, Public Relations, and Protocols Unit, NIDCOM.
The NIDCOM Boss highlighted the Summit as a testament to the power of the Nigerian Diaspora, leveraging economic development and shared prosperity for Nation building . She added that the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) has continued to reveal how Nigerians in the Diaspora and Nigerians at home can work together to create jobs, stimulate investable ideas and innovations and cement trust.
The high point of the Summit was at the Pitching Sessions with AGRIBUSINESS, with special focus on Innovative Agri-Value Chains, Food Security, and Export Models.
The Agribusiness Session moderated by Dr Moji Davids of Xtralarge Farms and Luxury Resorts took a different turn when Adaora Akojume of Beta Agric Venttures mounted the stage. Her well structured and innovative presentation penetrated the hearts of investors, and the icing on the cake was a N250 million naira investment offer by Mr Christopher Obode from New Jersey, USA.
Dr Moji described the Agripreneur as the lifeline of the economy and urged that food security should be prioritized.
The visibly excited and overwhelmed Adaora with her tomato Paste model product attracted more offers among investors who promised to adopt her product as a test product going forward in major local and international Summits.
The Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit has continued over time to resonate actionable investment drives, practical business marriages, and match-making ventures as against rhetorical and talk shows.
Participants, investors, and sponsors have continued to demonstrate evidence-based results of economic emancipation and shared prosperity.
The NDIS attracted over 50 pitchers, over 15 sponsors and exhibitors, over 900 physical participants, and over 2000 virtual participants globally.
