The Anambra State Police Command today, 9th March 2026, received the Police Recruitment Team, comprising officials from the Police High Command, the Police Service Commission, the Federal Character Commission, the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs and other relevant stakeholders at the State Police Command Headquarters Awka. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Ikenga Tochukwu, Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command.
According to the statement, the team is to oversee the physical and credential screening exercise for candidates who applied for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.
It further reads: “The screening exercise takes place daily from 9th March to 18th April 2026 at the Anambra State Police Headquarters.
“Candidates shortlisted for the recruitment process are expected to appear for the screening on their scheduled dates with all required documents, including original copies of their credentials and other necessary materials.
“The Anambra State Police Command urges all candidates to remain orderly, comply with the screening guidelines, and cooperate with officials throughout the exercise.
“The Command reiterates that this exercise is free and that no fee is attached to it,” it also added.
