A Tourism Expert and Doctor of Practice in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Dr. Tobi Bernard Thomas has expressed deep sympathy to the Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musawa, over the death of her mother.

Thomas, who is the Kaduna State Coordinator of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), described the deceased as a strong pillar of support whose passing represents a painful loss to the family and all those who knew her.

In a condolence message issued and made available to journalists in Kaduna on Wednesday, the tourism practitioner said the death of a parent remains one of the most difficult moments anyone can experience.

He noted that the loss of a mother creates a deep emotional void, describing mothers as irreplaceable sources of strength, guidance, and love.

“Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your mother,” Thomas said.

The tourism expert said Nigerians stand in solidarity with Musawa, her siblings, and the entire family during the period of mourning.

He acknowledged the personal grief that comes with losing a loved one, especially a mother, while urging the Minister and family members to draw strength from the memories and legacy left behind by the deceased.

According to him, the deceased’s impact as a mother and family figure would remain a lasting testimony to the values and relationships she built during her lifetime.

“Her departure is a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of celebrating the contributions of those who shape families and communities,” he said.

Thomas also prayed for divine comfort and strength for the bereaved family, asking God Almighty to grant them the courage to bear the loss.

He further prayed that Allah forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant her soul eternal rest.

The condolence message comes as tributes continue to pour in from individuals, leaders, and associates across the country in honour of the late matriarch.

Thomas urged all well-wishers to continue supporting the Minister and her family with prayers and encouragement as they navigate the difficult period.
