The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to creating a competitive and investment-friendly environment as preparations gather momentum for the maiden Nigeria NOW! Global Investors Expo 2026, scheduled to hold from 19–20 November 2026 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja. This was contained in a statement signed by Mrs. Kania Maliki Andeyaba, Head of Press and Public Relations Department.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the Honourable Minister, Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, said the Ministry is proud to support the initiative, especially following his acceptance to serve as Patron of the inaugural Expo.
He described the Expo as a strategic platform for showcasing Nigeria’s vast investment opportunities, connecting credible projects with investors, and strengthening collaboration between government, the private sector and development partners.
The Minister said the event aligns with the Federal Government’s economic diversification agenda by promoting investments across mining, power, manufacturing, infrastructure, oil and gas, trade and other productive sectors.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to transforming the solid minerals sector through value addition, responsible mining, modern technology, transparent regulation and strategic partnerships that will create jobs and drive sustainable economic growth.
Dr. Alake noted that the Expo will provide investors with direct access to information on government policies, investment opportunities and priority projects, while creating a platform for engagement on financing, licensing, infrastructure, technology and market access.
He also called on the media to provide objective coverage that promotes credible investment opportunities and supports Nigeria’s economic transformation.
In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, Engr. Faruk Yusuf Yabo, FNSE, described the Expo as an important platform for fostering collaboration among government institutions, investors, businesses and development partners. He reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with the organisers to ensure a successful event and urged the media to continue highlighting Nigeria’s ongoing reforms and investment potential.
Also speaking, the Portfolio Manager and Head of Corporate Development, EnergyNet, Mr. Abdoulaye Sylla, said the Nigeria NOW! Global Investors Expo is designed to connect global investors with bankable opportunities across Nigeria’s key economic sectors. He explained that the event will bring together policymakers, financiers, project developers and technology providers to facilitate investment partnerships and project financing.
According to him, EnergyNet will leverage its global network to attract quality investors and position Nigeria as a preferred investment destination, adding that the Expo is intended to deliver tangible investment outcomes that support the country’s long-term economic development.
The Nigeria NOW! Global Investors Expo 2026 is expected to attract investors, financial institutions, project developers, technology companies, development partners and policymakers from Nigeria and across the world. The event aims to stimulate strategic investments, strengthen public-private partnerships and accelerate sustainable economic growth.
