The Postmaster General of Federation/CEO,Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Tola Odeyemi,
today, Friday, January 24th,2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, at the Police Force Headquarters,Ab This meeting aims to explore mutual interest to handle NIPOST operations, secure its vast infrastructure across Nigeria, logistics,foster better opportunities for the economy to grow

Odeyemi expressed her gratitude for the unwavering long-standing support of the police personnel to NIPOST. She emphasized the importance of the synergy between the postal service and police force in ensuring secure and efficient service delivery across the nation.
At the meeting, the Postmaster General highlights the growing concerns regarding securing NIPOST vast national assets, curbing against vandalism, targeted encroachment on NIPOST infrastructure,mail,theft,fraud,and the critical role of Postal services in supporting communities safety initiatives vital to national development.
“The postal service is a fundamental component of Nigeria’s societal infrastructure, and we are acutely aware of the indispensable role that law enforcement plays in protecting it,” she stated .
“Our aim today is to explore collaborative solutions to these pressing challenges, thereby enhancing the safety of our postal workforce and the communities we serve.”
Odeyemi further stated that the National Addressing System being developed by NIPOST will serve as a crucial tool for a robust national security system that will enable the police force to track criminalities across Nigeria.
IGP Kayode Egbetokun appreciated the vital roles of postal services in connecting communities and facilitating communications.
Egbetokun emphasized the common goals of serving Nigeria security and the safety of our communities.
