The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, has lauded the deepening collaboration between the Federal and State Civil Services, describing it as a vital step towards strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery nationwide. This was contained in a statement signed by Mrs. Eno Olotu, mnipr, Director, Information, and Public Relations.

She made the commendation while receiving the Head of Service of Zamfara State, Alhaji Yakubu Sani Haidara, mni, and a delegation of Permanent Secretaries from the State, who paid her a courtesy visit in Abuja.

Mrs. Walson-Jack noted that the synergy between the Federal and State Civil Services is already yielding positive outcomes, particularly in capacity development, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of reform initiatives under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021–2025 (FCSSIP25).

In his remarks, the Zamfara State Head of Service explained that the visit aimed to strengthen partnerships with the Federal Civil Service in the areas of capacity building, policy innovation, and reform implementation to enhance service delivery at the State level. He commended the HCSF for her exemplary leadership, visionary reforms, and unwavering commitment to repositioning the Nigerian Civil Service for greater efficiency and productivity.

Alhaji Haidara also praised the HCSF’s drive to establish a citizen-centred Civil Service anchored on accountability, integrity, and technology, to streamline government operations, foster collaboration, and build a workforce that is responsive, professional, and future-ready.

He further disclosed that Zamfara State has prioritised capacity building and staff training in line with Federal initiatives, and reaffirmed the State’s commitment to sustaining collaboration with the Federal Civil Service to drive efficiency and renewed vigour in public service delivery.

The meeting was attended by Federal Permanent Secretaries in the Office of the HCSF, Zamfara State Permanent Secretaries, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Civil Service Matters (SSAP/CSM), and Directors in the OHCSF.
