The All Progressives Congress (APC) expresses deep sadness over the sudden passing of the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, and the good people of Bayelsa State over this massive loss.
Senator Ewhrudjakpo was a fine, versatile, devoted, and compassionate leader with a towering record of distinguished public service. A grassroots politician and renowned peace-builder, he was widely recognized for his contributions to intra and inter community conflict management and reconciliation, fostering stabilization of local communities and protecting vital national assets in the state.
His passing leaves a significant void, not only in Bayelsa State but across Nigeria’s broader public service community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and political associates, the government, and the good people of Bayelsa State during this difficult time.
