Today, the late Alhaja Sidikatu Abake Basiru, the beloved mother of the APC National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, Ph.D., was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites at the Ansarudeen Burial Ground, Ansarudeen Mosque, Sabo, Osogbo. The Janazah prayer and burial were attended by dignitaries from across the country and people from all walks of life, who gathered to pay their final respects to the departed matriarch and offer their condolences to Senator Basiru and the entire Basiru family.
