The Commissioner of Police, FCT Police Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, today, 5th January 2026, decorated thirteen (13) newly promoted officers, who were elevated from Superintendents of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP), at the FCT Command Headquarters, Abuja. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Josephine Adeh, anipr, mipra, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, Abuja.
According to the statement, the decoration ceremony was witnessed by very senior officers of the Command, family members of the promoted officers, and colleagues.
Addressing the officers, CP Dantawaye congratulated them on their well-deserved promotions, describing the elevation as a recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to duty. He reminded them that the new ranks come with increased responsibilities and expectations.
The Commissioner of Police charged the officers to sustain the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties, while justifying the confidence and trust reposed in them by the Inspector-General of Police, who approved their substantive promotions. He further urged them to remain exemplary in conduct and service, in line with the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.
