Dabiri-Erewa Urges Women to get Involved in Politics

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has urged women to actively participate in politics as a way of shaping national discourse. This was contained in a statement signed by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, mnipr, Head, Media, Public Relations, and Protocols Unit, NIDCOM.

Dabiri-Erewa gave this admonition in a keynote address during the International Women’s Day celebrations organised by Zenith Bank of Nigeria held at the Civic Centre in Lagos.

Speaking on the theme “TAKE IT, YOU OWN IT,” Dabiri-Erewa enjoined women to be supportive of one another, thereby building the country collectively.

She commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his inclusive leadership through elective and appointive positions accorded women.
She also commended Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady for her impactful initiatives for women and children.

The Zenith Bank International Women’s Day Seminar is an annual celebration designed to inspire and empower women within and outside the country.

IWD seminar is a medium for Women empowerment, social impact, and inclusive economic participation.
