Day 2: Anambra Police Command Undertakes Walkathon in Commemoration of National Police Day, Promotes Fitness and Community Engagement

As part of activities marking the 2026 National Police Day celebration, the Anambra State Police Command today 31st March 2026, the second day of the event, undertook a walkathon aimed at promoting physical fitness and strengthening police-community relations. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Ikenga Tochukwu, Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command.

It also reads: “The fitness walk, which commenced from the Command Headquarters, saw the participation of the Management team of the Command, other police officers alongside members of the public, demonstrating unity, cooperation, and a shared commitment to healthy living.

“The exercise further underscores the Command’s dedication to enhancing the well-being of its personnel while fostering closer ties with the community in line with the principles of community policing.

“The Command appreciates members of the public who joined the exercise and reiterates its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents in the State, ” it also added.
