On Monday, 22nd December 2025, the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, and the Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, CP Mohammed Rabiu, jointly led a coordinated patrol along Jere – Abuja Highway, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen border security and ensure the safety of residents and commuters during the 2025 festive season. Jere Community is a strategic border settlement between FCT and Kaduna State, serving as a critical intersecting point for security operations, commuter movement, and anti-crime operations between both commands. The joint patrol underscores the shared responsibility and sustained cooperation between the FCT and Kaduna State Police Commands in addressing cross-border security concerns.
The exercise also formed part of a confidence-boosting operation aimed at reassuring residents, commuters, and road users plying the FCT – Kaduna highway of the unwavering commitment of both commands to ensuring safe passage, particularly during the festive season when human and vehicular movements increase significantly.
