FCT Police Identify Father of Victim of Suspected Hit-and-run Incident

Sequel to a press release issued on 11th December 2025 regarding a suspected hit-and-run incident involving an unidentified young male, estimated to be between 12 and 15 years old, who was found lying unconscious at Apo Roundabout transformer on 10th December 2025, the FCT Police Command wishes to inform the general public that the father of the victim, Mr. Adamu Ibrahim has come forward and positively identified the victim as his son, Abba Adamu Ibrahim .This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Josephine Adeh, anipr, mipra, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, Abuja.

According to the statement, the victim remains under medical care, while efforts are ongoing to facilitate the safe and proper reunification of the child with his father, in line with established procedures and medical advice.

The statement also reads: “The FCT Police Command extends its appreciation to members of the public for their cooperation and useful information, which greatly aided the identification of the victim’s parent. The Command reiterates the importance of collective vigilance and public support in safeguarding lives and enhancing crime prevention across the Federal Capital Territory.

“Members of the public are encouraged to promptly report suspicious incidents or persons to the nearest police station or through the FCT Police Command emergency lines: 08032003913, 08028940883,” it also added.
