The Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has formally presented its 2025 budget to the Joint National Assembly Committee on Aviation and Aviation Technology today, 22nd January, 2025 at the National Assembly Complex room 223. This was contained in a statement signed by Daniel Nwagwu for Head: Press and Public Relations, which reads in part: “During the presentation, the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON, FICArb (UK), highlighted the ministry’s commitment to transparency and accountability in managing public resources. He provided a breakdown of the 2024 budget performance, noting that:
“Capital Appropriation achieved a utilization rate of 30.9%,
“Personnel Appropriation was fully utilized at 100%, and
“Overhead Appropriation recorded a near-complete utilization of 99.97%.
“The Minister presented the proposed 2025 budget, totalling Seventy One Billion , One Hundred and Twenty-Three Million, Three Hundred and Sixty-Eight Thousand, Sixty Nine naira (N71,123,368,069). The allocation is distributed as follows:
“Capital Appropriation: ₦69,220,036,250
Personnel Cost: ₦1,157,589,143
“Overhead Cost: ₦745,742,676
“Keyamo emphasized that the proposed budget reflects the ministry’s strategic priorities in advancing the aviation and aerospace sectors, ensuring improved infrastructure, and enhancing service delivery across the nation. Adding that Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development remains committed to its mandate of fostering a safe, efficient, and innovative aviation industry for the benefit of all Nigerians”, it also added.
