The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has lauded its Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, following his recognition as a Young Global Leader by ThisDay newspaper. The award was presented during the publication’s 30th-anniversary celebration, held on 27 January 2025 in Lagos.
The accolade acknowledges Halilu’s transformative leadership, his pioneering contributions to Nigeria’s technology and manufacturing sectors, and his unwavering commitment to sustainable development through innovation.
Since taking the helm at NASENI, Halilu has driven a raft of ambitious initiatives that have positioned the agency as a linchpin of Nigeria’s industrial revolution. Under his stewardship, NASENI has introduced 35 market-ready products and brokered agreements on 44 strategic projects, all poised for imminent launch or commissioning.
Responding to the honour, Halilu expressed his gratitude to ThisDay newspaper, dedicating the award to his colleagues at NASENI. “This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of the NASENI family in pushing the boundaries of innovation and ensuring Nigeria remains at the forefront of technological and engineering advancements.
