The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, has called for increased investment in Africa’s creative ecosystems to enable young people transform their talents into sustainable industries that drive economic growth and employment.

Halilu made the call during a visit to The Village by Tikera in Abuja, a 30-hectare cultural eco-campus dedicated to promoting creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship across Africa’s creative sector.

Speaking during the visit, the NASENI boss described Africa’s ingenuity as limitless, stressing that the continent’s greatest opportunity lies in creating more platforms where creative ideas can be nurtured into thriving industries with lasting economic impact.

He commended Tikera Africa for equipping young creatives with the skills, mentorship and opportunities required to build a vibrant creative economy, noting that the future belongs to ecosystems that foster collaboration, unlock talent and transform innovative ideas into measurable outcomes.

Halilu further stated that NASENI’s development strategy is centred on building innovation ecosystems that support engineering, manufacturing, technology and the creative economy, emphasising that sustainable development can only be achieved by creating environments where innovation can flourish.

Reaffirming the Agency’s commitment to homegrown innovation, Halilu pledged continued support for strategic partnerships that harness Africa’s immense creative and technological potential, while positioning innovation as a catalyst for inclusive economic development across the continent.
