Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued a 50-year-old farmer, Mallam Ibrahim Suleiman, following an attack on farmers in Dutsen Maru Community, Maru District, Zamfara State.
The rescue followed a distress call on 26 October, prompting security forces to swiftly mobilise and intercept the suspected assailants as they attempted to withdraw from the area.
During the operation, troops recovered three motorcycles and a donkey belonging to the affected farmers, offering a measure of relief amid the attack.
However, the mission is far from over, as troops remain in the area, intensifying efforts to locate other persons still unaccounted for and ensure their safe return.
The operation underscores the importance of rapid security response in protecting rural communities and safeguarding farmers from attacks and abductions.
