The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced to the public that annual preventive maintenance exercise has been scheduled at its Ajaokuta 330/132kV Transmission Substation on Tuesday, 1st September, 2026 from 10 am to 3 pm. This was contained in a statement signed by the Management of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
The statement reads in part: “This exercise is necessary to enable maintenance crew work on the bay switchgear and associated equipment on 132kV Ajaokuta Transmission Line 1.
“Consequently, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity to its customers at Adogo, Anyimgba, Ganaja, and adjoining areas.
“Power supply will be restored immediately after the maintenance exercise is completed.
“TCN apologises for the inconvenience this exercise will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas, ” it also added
