TCN Embarks in Urgent Maintenance at Katampe 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has informed the public that there will be an urgent maintance today, Saturday, 5th September 2026, to enable TCN maintenance crew seal oil leakage from the one transformer at the 330/132/33kV Katampe Transmission Substation. This was contained in a statement signed by the Management of TCN.

The statement reads: “The maintenance work is scheduled to commence at 10a.m. and end at 7pm today.

“During the maintenance some circuits will be impacted.

“Consequently, AEDC will be unable to offtake electricity from some feeders to its electricity customers fed from the transformer.

“TCN apologises for any inconvenience this temporary interruption may cause electricity consumers in the affected areas,” it also added.
