The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has informed the public about an annual preventive maintenance on Katampe-Gwarinpa 132/33kV Line 2 bay switchgears and associated equipment, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. This was contained in a statement signed by the Management of TCN.
The statement reads: “As a result, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to offtake power supply to customers in parts of Dawaki, Dutse Alhaji, parts of Gwarinpa, parts of Kubwa, Arab Road, Bwari, Mopol Barracks, Jiwa, Suleja Township, FCT College of Education, Field Base, Madalla, Zuba and environs.
“TCN applogises for any inconvenience this scheduled maintenance will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas, ” it also added.
