Umahi Arrives Borno Ahead of Flag-off of Bama-Banki and Dikwa-Gamboru-Ngala Road Rehabilitation Projects

The Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Umahi, CON, on Friday, July 3, 2026, arrived in Borno State ahead of the official flag-off of the rehabilitation of the Bama-Banki Road and the Dikwa-Gamboru-Ngala Road. This was contained in a statement signed by Francis Nwaze, FIPMD, Senior Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister of Works (Media).

The Minister was received at the Muhammadu Buhari International Airport by the Governor of Borno State, His Excellency, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, CON.

The official flag-off ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, and will be performed by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, who will be represented by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON.

The rehabilitation of the Bama-Banki Road and the Dikwa-Gamboru-Ngala Road is part of the Federal Government’s commitment to improving critical road infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, and supporting economic growth and security in Borno State and the North East region.
