The Honourable Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, today extended his felicitations to Nigerians and the global Muslim community on the occasion of the Islamic New Year 1448 AH. This was contained in a statement signed by Adamu Aminu, Special Assistant on Media, to the Honourable Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.
According to the statement, Minister Ata described Muharram as a period of renewal and reflection and urged citizens to embrace the values of peace, unity, and compassion.
He reaffirmed that the Ministry remains committed to advancing housing and urban development initiatives that uplift communities and improve quality of life.
“As we enter 1448 AH, we must recommit ourselves to building a nation where every family has access to safe and affordable housing,” Ata said. “Our work is not only about infrastructure but also about dignity, inclusion, and resilience in the face of challenges.”
The Minister called on Nigerians to draw inspiration from the spirit of Muharram by fostering solidarity and patience while supporting national development goals.
He concluded with prayers for prosperity, stability, and harmony across Nigeria and the Muslim world.
