The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS12.12 Darazo Unit Command, has today apprehended a dangerously overloaded vehicle along the Bauchi–Kari route. This image clearly shows a gross violation of safety regulations, with passengers sitting on top of piled goods, completely exposed to fatal risks in the event of a crash, sudden brake, or loss of control. This was contained in a statement signed by Osondu Ohaeri, fnipr, fcai, Deputy Corps Commander, Corps Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps Headquarters, Abuja.

It further reads: “Overloading is not just a traffic offence. It is a life-threatening decision. It compromises vehicle stability, increases stopping distance, and puts both passengers and other road users in grave danger. No journey is worth your life. Drivers and vehicle owners are strongly advised to adhere strictly to prescribed loading limits and ensure that human lives are never treated as cargo. ”
