The Ambassador of Nigeria to Spain, His Excellency, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, PhD, participated in the opening ceremony of CONXEMAR 2026, held at the IFEVI Exhibition Centre in Vigo, Galicia, Spain, on Tuesday, 6 October 2026. CONXEMAR 2026 is the 27th International Frozen Seafood Exhibition, which is one of the world’s most important trade fairs dedicated entirely to the frozen seafood sector.

The ceremony was attended by several prominent dignitaries, including the President of the Xunta de Galicia, senior representatives of the Spanish Government, the President of CONXEMAR, the Mayor of Vigo, members of the diplomatic corps, other government officials, business leaders, and key stakeholders in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.

During the event, Ambassador Ikpeazu also held side interactions with CONXEMAR officials and representatives of various companies, including firms in the packaging, marine, and fisheries-related industries. These engagements form part of the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to promote Nigeria’s blue economy and attract Spanish investment to Nigeria.
