President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has formally entered the race for the 2027 general elections following the purchase of his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.
The forms, valued at N100 million, were picked up at the Abuja Continental Hotel, venue for the sale of the forms.
Honourable James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives, obtained the documents on behalf of the President, accompanied by several party loyalists and support groups.
The purchase marks the official commencement of the sale of nomination forms by the ruling party for various elective positions.
Speaking during the exercise, the APC National Organizing Secretary, Suleiman Argungu emphasized the significance of the event, noting that it signals the party’s readiness to conduct a transparent and democratic primary process.
Under the APC’s current guidelines, the presidential nomination form is pegged at N100 million, consistent with the pricing structure used in previous election cycles.
The party is expected to release a full timetable for the screening of aspirants and the conduct of primary elections in the coming weeks.
