The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc, mnips, PhD, has stated that the Police response to the viral complaint video alleging unprofessional conduct of officers in Onitsha will be holistic and comprehensive. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Ikenga Tochukwu, Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command.

The CP noted that beyond identifying and investigating the officers directly involved in the alleged misconduct, supervising officers under whose watch the incident occurred will also be queried as part of efforts to ensure accountability and reinforce discipline within the ranks.

He reiterated that the Command will not tolerate any form of unprofessional conduct and assured members of the public that appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with the provisions of the Nigeria Police Force.

The Command remains committed to upholding professionalism, transparency, and the protection of citizens’ rights.
