The Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), Prof. Tunji Olaopa, yesterday paid a working visit to the Headquarters of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Bwari, Abuja, as part of efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration towards the conduct of a transparent, credible and competitive 2026 Directorate-Level Promotion Examination. This was contained in a statement signed by Ibraheem Zakariyya, anipr, Head, Press, and Public Relations for the Commission.
The visit, which took place shortly after the conclusion of the 2026 local-leg promotion examinations, provided an opportunity for the FCSC Chairman and his team to engage with the Registrar of JAMB and his management team on the Commission’s ongoing collaboration with the Board in the deployment of technology, examination infrastructure and other measures designed to ensure the integrity and credibility of the promotion exercise.
During the engagement, the FCSC delegation was taken through JAMB’s technology-driven examination and monitoring systems, underscoring the importance of robust processes, transparency, and accountability in the administration of high-stakes examinations.
The collaboration forms part of the Commission’s broader efforts to strengthen merit-based career progression within the Federal Civil Service.
The visit also highlighted the value of inter-agency partnership in leveraging the expertise and institutional capacity of JAMB to support the FCSC in delivering a promotion examination that is fair, competitive, transparent and credible, while upholding the principles of merit and professionalism in the Federal Public Service.
