On 27th December 2025, at about 03:43 a.m., following a distress call received through the FCT Police Command emergency number reporting an ongoing armed robbery operation at a residence in Karu Site, a police response team from Karu Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), was swiftly deployed to the scene. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Josephine Adeh, anipr, mipra, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, Abuja.
The statement reads: “Upon sighting the police team, the suspects opened fire. The police officers responded professionally, subdued, and arrested one of the suspects identified as Abdul Mohammed, male, 20 years old, of Masaka, Nasarawa State, while two other accomplices fled the scene.
“Exhibits recovered during the operation include two mobile phones, one locally fabricated firearm, four live cartridges, two knives, one cutlass, and one torchlight. The arrested suspect is currently receiving medical attention, while investigations are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
“The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Miller G.
