The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a final reminder for media accreditation for coverage of the Ekiti State Governorship Election and the forthcoming by-elections.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The statement reads in part: “The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) wishes to inform all media organisations that accreditation for coverage of the Ekiti State Governorship Election and the forthcoming bye-elections, both scheduled for Saturday, 20th June 2026, will close at midnight on Sunday, 7th June 2026.
“The bye-elections cover the following constituencies:
– Dawaki Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency – Kano State
– Zuru State Constituency – Kebbi State
– Ondo South Senatorial District – Ondo State
– Rivers South East Senatorial District – Rivers State
– Nasarawa North Senatorial District – Nasarawa State
– Enugu North Senatorial District – Enugu State
“Media organisations that have already initiated their applications but are yet to complete the process are strongly advised to do so before the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered, and no exceptions will be made for late submissions.
“This is the final opportunity to secure accreditation. Act now,” it also added.
