The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA) has felicitated Air Vice Marshal Osichinaka Chiedu Ubadike on his historic milestone attainment of Professorship. This was contained in a statement jointly signed by Amb. Ikenna Okonkwo, Interim President, League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA) and Princess- Ekwi Ajide, Secretary, League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA). The statement reads: “On behalf of the League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA), we write to extend our warmest congratulations to you on your historic appointment as Professor of Aerospace Engineering by the Governing Council of the Air Force Institute of Technology.
“Your elevation as the first serving officer of the Nigerian Air Force and of the Anambra extraction to attain the rank of Professor is a landmark achievement that resonates far beyond the military.
“It stands as a powerful testament to the excellence that is possible when operational leadership is matched with rigorous scholarship, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to national service.
“Your academic journey, from graduating with First-Class honours in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, to advanced degrees from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Ahmadu Bello University, and Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, reflects a rare dedication to intellectual growth.
“Your contributions to indigenous defence technology, particularly within the Nigerian Air Force Unmanned Aerial Vehicle programme, speak volumes about your belief in home-grown solutions and national self-reliance.
“As Anambra sons and daughters continue to make their mark across strategic national institutions, your achievement shines as a beacon of hope and possibility for young Nigerians, especially those from Umuoji, Idemili North, and across Anambra State, who dare to dream big, work hard, and serve with distinction.
“We celebrate you not only for breaking new ground but for setting a new standard, one that proves excellence has no boundaries when purpose meets preparation.
“May this milestone inspire many more within and beyond the Armed Forces to pursue knowledge, innovation, and service to country with courage and integrity. Once again, congratulations on this well-deserved honour.
“We wish you continued success as you inspire a new generation of scholar-officers and help shape the future of Nigeria’s defence and technological capacity.
“Please accept the assurances of our highest esteem,” it also added.
