The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, PhD, FCAI, on 2nd April 2026, presented Group Life Assurance, Group Personal Accident and Family Welfare Support cheques to the families and next of kins of seventy nine (79) fallen Police officers at the FCT Police Command Headquarters, Garki II, Abuja. This was contained in a statement signed by SP. Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, Abuja.
The statement also reads: “This exercise, forms part of activities marking the 2026 National Police Day, and reflects the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force under the leadership of IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc(+) NPM, to the welfare of Police personnel and the families of officers who died in the line of duty.
“While addressing the beneficiaries, the CP conveyed his heartfelt condolences and reassured them of the Force’s continued support, noting that the fallen officers’ sacrifices would never be forgotten.
“The Command reiterates its dedication to safeguarding lives and property and urges residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities via: 08032003913, 08061581938, ” it also added.
