The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed relief materials to victims of attacks by non-state armed groups in Ngoshe community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

The intervention was carried out by the agency’s Maiduguri Operations Office in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, aimed at providing immediate support to affected families.

Community leaders, speaking through a representative, commended NEMA for its prompt response, noting that the intervention was not the first by the agency in the area this year. They described the continued support as a demonstration of sustained humanitarian commitment.

The Head of the Maiduguri Operations Office expressed sympathy with the victims and urged them to remain resilient despite the challenges posed by the attacks.

Also speaking, the Chairman of Gwoza Local Government Area appreciated NEMA and the Federal Government for the timely assistance provided to the community.

Items distributed included food supplies and building materials to help affected residents meet their immediate needs and begin the process of recovery.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities impacted by insecurity and humanitarian crises across the country.
