‎Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has congratulated Captain Adebanke Osilaja on becoming the first licensed Nigerian female Pilot at any US Legacy Airline. This was contained in a statement signed by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, mipra, Head, Media, Public Relations and Protocol Unit, NIDCOM.

‎She described the achievement as a remarkable breakthrough and a proud moment for Nigeria, noting that rising to Captain in a major American carrier reflects exceptional professionalism, resilience, and mastery.

‎Dabiri-Erewa added that Osilaja’s success is a powerful inspiration to young Nigerians everywhere, especially girls aspiring careers in the aviation industry and other male-dominated fields.

‎The NiDCOM Boss wished the Nigerian Flight Captain the best in her endeavours.

‎It could be recalled, also, that Capt. Osilaja was one of the recipients at the 2025 National Diaspora Merit Awards that was held in Abuja, in July.
