The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, fnim, CON has congratulated the Honourable Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, on the occasion of his 59th birthday, describes him as a distinguished patriot and exemplary public servant committed to national development.
In a congratulatory message, Senator Akume praised Dr. Sununu’s career spanning the healthcare sector, the legislature, and the executive arm of government, noting that his service reflects a people-centred approach to governance and a strong commitment to nation-building.
He commended the Minister’s efforts in advancing policies and interventions that promote poverty alleviation, social protection, and support for vulnerable Nigerians through the Ministry, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Describing him as a mentor and bridge-builder, the SGF said Dr. Sununu’s leadership continues to inspire younger generations and strengthen democratic ideals while contributing to development within his constituency and across the North-West.
Senator Akume prayed for renewed strength, sound health, and greater wisdom for Dr. Sununu as he continues to serve the nation.
